Can twister

MAIN PURPOSE: Inverting cans on single-row conveyor by 180°. Usually, this is required before and after the tunnel for the heat treatment of cans. It can be also used for some other specific requirements on the line, such as data printing on the bottom of the cans, inspection of cans or similar.

Each can twister consists of a stainless-steel mounting housing to which a 3D printed plastic body is attached. Inside this plastic body are guides, that ensure a smoother passage through the twister. The length and exact dimensions are tailored to actual capacity and the format of the can being processed. The plastic body as such is a format part that is interchangeable for different can formats, while bottom fixing part is universal and stays the same for all formats.

NOTE: Each format/size of cans requires its own pair of can twisters, meaning that twisters designed for 500 ml cans cannot be used for the 330 ml format due to different internal geometry of can twisters.
